Abstract

The convincing candidate event of the isotope of the 113th element, 278113, and its daughter nuclei, 274111 and 271Mt, were observed, for the first time, in the 209Bi+70Zn reaction. The experiment was performed at RIKEN (The Institute of Physical and Chemical Research) Linear Accelerator Facility using a GAs-filled Recoil Ion Separator GARIS. The experiments to confirm the productions and decays of isotopes 265Hs(Z=108), 271Ds(Z=110), 272Rg(Z=111), and 277112(Z=112) were also done.
