Abstract
Although today's drivers have a different sense of valuing their cars, the Information design of car navigation systems (car-navis) has tended to be uniform. This research is aimed at clarifying the relation between drivers' impres-sions and elements that constitute car-navi Information design to optimize both speech and information. First, we did a survey on the sense of valuing cars and ITS, analyzed the results with PCA, and extracted seven elements. Next, eight samples were created through design experiments using the seven elements, and an evaluation experiment was conducted using the eight evaluation terms. As a result of analysis with a t-test, it became clear that the Information design element, which influences evaluation terms, is different depending on the driver's sense of value. Furthermore, we directed our attention to the icon as an important element. As a result of conducting an evaluation experiment on the icon, which changed the molding and color, we were able to obtain a valuable index in designing the icon.
