Abstract

The objective of this research is to elucidate the actual state of scooter usage in Taiwan, and to examine these factors in explaining the overwhelmingly widespread of scooters in Taiwan. The investigation had discovered that Taiwan's protective industrial acts have played a major influential role to the industry. The questionnaire survey for the usage carried out in Kaohsiung city. The relationship between questionnaire data and each factor were analyzed and considered. As the result, the following items are conceivable as main diffusion factors: 1) Increase of national income, 2) Rapid increase of the commuting worker, 3) Inconvenient of the parking space of an arcade, 4) Mild weather, 5) The scale condition of the rang is given about 10Km, and 6) Economic efficiency and convenient of scooters. Which are seen to have developed as a result of the synergistic effect of a mixture of factors with "Human, Product, and Environment".
