694. QUATERNARY OSTRACODA FROM KISARAZU NEAR TOKYO

Description

This paper gives a detailed account of the Quaternary ostracode fauna of Kisarazu area near Tokyo. Three fossil ostracode assemblages are discernible : i) a sand flat assemblage, ii) a shallow mud assemblage, and iii) a silty sand assemblage. In systematic paleontology, eight new species, Pseudopsammocy-there tokyoensis, Ambostracon ikeyai, Cornucoquimba ishizakii, Actinocythereis kisarazuensis, Lixouria nipponica, Buntonia hanaii, Paracytheridea bosoensis and Cytheroma? hanaii, are described.
