Description

A Phacopid genus Rhinophacops is proposed on the basis of Echinophacops schizoloma Zhou, 1983 described from the Zhusileng Formation (Upper Emsian) of Inner Mongolia. This new genus is characterized by having an anterior opening during enrollment. Material collected from the N3 Member of the Nakazato Formation, Iwate Prefecture, Northeast Japan was described in detail.
