Description

The composition of concentrated seawater obtained by the ion exchange membrane method in a salt making factory was modeled, and a concentration experiment on the concentrated seawater was carried out. When the sodium chloride purity of the brine were the range of 87 to 93%, the salts deposited in order of sodium chloride, calcium sulfate, and potassium chloride at 50, 70 and 90°C. And the prediction model for the concentration of each ion contents in the solutions of concentrating process was proposed. The prediction model could easily simulate the composition of the mother liquor in the crystallizer used in a salt making factory and the concentration characteristic value concerning productivity in salt making process, such as a sodium chloride deposit rate, was also able to be acquired.
