Cr (+6) -free Anticorrosive pigments, based on aluminum triphosphate have been developed.<BR>Corrosion inhibition properties of these pigments in the long oil, medium oil and short oil alkyd resin coatings system were the same as or superior to that of zinc chromate (ZPC or ZTO). In particular, these pigments showed much better corrosion inhibition properties on the cross cut panel.
