Description

A characteristic point of loochoo lacquer is that the adhesiveness is very powerful, because the blood of a pig is used in undercoating.<BR>When it was experimented what influence the structures of 26 kinds of organic pigment had on. films of it;<BR>1) Organic pigments of many kinds were found to be used for loochoo lacquer, because of their vivid colours, but benzidine and hansa yellows were not applicable.<BR>2) Light resistance of a inorganic pigment TiO2 was very strong in paints, but in loochoo lacquer its light resistance (100 hours) was very weak.<BR>Not only Ultraviolet rays in sunlight, but also oxygen, active hydrogen and infrared rays were found to have a great influence on light resistance.<BR>When the ultraviolet rays was applied to films of loochoo lacquer, gloss of films vanished in hours, but films did not crack.<BR>Following 3 types of ultraviolet rays adsorption agents were used.<BR>1) phenyl salicylate <BR>2) 5-chloro-2-hydroxybenzophenone<BR>3) 2-hydroxy-4-methoxybenzophenone<BR>And phenyl salicylate had a
