KISTI was established in 2001 by merging KORDIC (Korea Research and Development Information Center), KINITI (Korea Institute of Industry and Technology Information) which used to be information centers under the Korea Government, and Super Computer center. The main duties are to construct the scientific and technological database and widely distribute it, to operate and control the Korea Research Environment Open Network (KREONet) and Super Computer, to analyze scientific and technological information, so on. The article mainly describes the database construction covering academic information in ST areas, and the distribution.
