Abstract

The authors experimented on installation and retrival of INIS on-line information retrieval system in the Institute. The size of the data base is about 70,000 entries for the period of one year, and it is provided for personnels in Tokai branch of Japan Atomic Energy Research Institute. The result shows that the on-line information retrieval can be available within the limitation of practical searching funcions. It is also found that applications can be easily developed, and various functions such as referring to external files, analyzing and re-arranging the search results and so on can be added.
