Twenty five cases out of these cases showed high serum GOT, GPT, LDH, AIP. On the other hand only 2 cases of 77 cases without blood transfusion revealed liver disfunction.<BR>Post-transfusion hepatitis can be classified into 3 groups by the time course of serum transaminase. Group 1 shows high serum transaminase immediately after blood transfusion and becomes normal range of serum transaminase within 2 weeks. This group is supposed to have light degree of liver disturbance and might be caused by general anaesthesia. Group 2 shows high serum transaminase from 2 weeks till 6 weeks. This group was mostly administered by gammagloblin and had a tendency of mild degree of liver disturbance. Group 3 shows high serum transaminase after 6 weeks. This group contained some cases with sever liver disf unction. A few case of this group was administered by gammagloblin.
