Abstract
An improvement method of simulation-based production scheduling, named Parameter Space Search Improvement Method, is proposed. The improvement phase of the simulation-based production scheduling activity is first discussed, focusing on due-date conscious production such as make-to-order production and job shop production. Discussion then centers on methods for enhancing the production scheduling quality. Further, including the definition of a parameter space to search for a better solution, an improvement method is proposed and its effectiveness is shown not only on a simple job shop model, but also on an actually working system.
