Description
A training system for a visual inspection method utilizing peripheral vision is developed in this paper. It is said that the inspection method requires three factors: peripheral vision, instantaneous vision and saccadic eye movement. Specifically, in order to acquire the inspection method step by step, six training tools for three factors and their combinations are individually developed as computer system. Moreover, in order to verify the effectiveness of the training system, a control experiment with 12 subjects divided into two groups is implemented. As a result, it is observed that the training system improves the defect detection rate 20.4%.
