Abstract

Information Technology can solve many social problems. Services for the Deaf people are also no exception. The Deaf people have to face to 1. lack of sign language interpretation, 2. No sign language - spoken language dictionary, and 3. less sign language entertainment because of 1. lack of public recognition for the Deaf and sign language, 2. gap of opportunity between hearing people and the Deaf people, and 3. limitation of the service for the Deaf people. ShuR Group services 1. video relay service, 2. sign language keyboard, 3. sign language guide application, and 4. sign language podcast to change this situation. Information Technology is necessary for those services so that is good example for contribution of Information Technology for social problems.
