Abstract
Since the FY2011, Kyoto University has appointed University Research Administrators (URAs) as research facilitation specialists, and established a URA network of (central) Research Administration Office, eight departmental URA offices and two research project offices. Supporting researchers obtaining funding is one of the main tasks of the URAs. In this article, we introduce some of our efforts on supporting Grants-in-aid application, support for humanities and social science researchers, and collection and analysis of information with ICT. Also discussed here are some of the issues we have come across through our daily operations: intra-university knowledge sharing, need for more proactive support, and consideration on the needs of humanities and social science researchers.
