Abstract

<p>The nature of the relationships between diversity and outcomes, and the processes through which they are affected by leadership are fuzzy and complex. Due to this nature, there has been insufficient research to meet the demands of practice. However, solid developments can be seen in the following areas: 1) methodological refinement and 2) accurately capturing the special characteristics of diversity and exploring the processes through which leadership influences them. This paper draws conclusions from existing research on the role of leadership in connecting diversity and outcomes at the individual, team and organizational levels and identifies issues for future research.</p>
