Abstract

The earlier studies on medical litigation have showed why patients and their families take legal action when they are injured during their treatment: First, they want to know how and why the injury happened. Second, they claim the staff or organization to apologize for the injury. Third, they think that they should tell lessons from their experiences to public and prevent the similarincidents in the future.<br>This paper examines the process of turning to litigation in terms of breaking “trust” in medical system which the patients and their families had held.
