Description

<p>  Pelvic organ prolapse (POP) is extremely common in middle-aged and elderly women and it affects quality of life. POP patients often show lower urinary symptoms such as frequency of urination, urinary incontinence and dysuria. Recently, laparoscopic sacrocolpopexy (LSC) has gained popularity in Japan.</p><p>Abdominal sacrocolpopexy (ASC) has been considered the gold standard for vaginal vault prolapse repair for several decades. LSC has potential advantages in terms of reduced morbidity, recovery time, and better vision over ASC. In this article, we describe the procedure of LSC with subtotal hysterectomy.</p>
