Description
Some ammonium sulfate minerals, such as godovikovite, efremovite, tschermigite and boussingaultite, are newly found from coal gas escape fractures at Ikushunbetsu, Mikasa City, Hokkaido, Japan, where is the type locality of mikasaite. It is likely that these ammonium sulfates formed as a sublimate from low temperature coal gas.
