Description
With LCD televisions getting larger, length of their cold cathode fluorescent lamps is longer and number of them is larger. Because this leads to increasing cost and power consumption of LCD televisions, cost reduction and higher efficiency of lamps are needed.<BR> We have developed hot cathode fluorescent lamps for LCD baclight as follows, whose cost is lower and whose efficiency is higher than cold cathode fluorescent lamps.<BR> Lifetime of developed lamps is min.60000 hours same as cold cathode fluorescent lamps. The lamps have quadruple coils which can hold as much emitter as needed to satisfy lifetime. Lamp cost can be much lower than cold cathode fluorescent lamps because number of the lamps is about a quarter of that of cold cathode fluorescent lamps.
