Abstract
13-Oxyingenol is a diterpenoid isolated from the plants of Euphorbia sp. 13-Oxyingenol derivatives have a variety of biological activities. The main structural features of 13-oxyingenol derivatives are a highly strained inside-outside framework and a high degree of oxygenation. We planned the construction of inside-outside framework of 13-oxyingenol by the direct cyclization using ring-closing olefin metathesis reaction. As a result, we achieved the construction of the inside-outside framework of 13-oxyingenol. Herein we report the ring-closing olefin metathesis reaction in the synthesis of 13-oxyingenol.
