Abstract
We have reported that bisporphyrin connected by aromatic linker self-assembles via subtle forces to form the host-guest complex with an electron-deficient aromatic guest. We set out to utilize this unique host-guest interaction for the construction of supramolecular polymers. Heteroditopic monomer was designed. Self-assembly of the monomer was studied by 1H NMR, UV, AFM, and DOSY experiments.
