Abstract

Chiral tris-urea compound with 1,3,5-triethylbenzene core gelates various organic solvent. Although the chiral gelator gelates acetone in 2 wt.%, racemic one could not form gel under the same condition. In this study, we have synthesized chiral tris-urea derivatives and found a gelator which shows more remarkable difference in gelation depending on its optical purity.
