Description
Purpose of the research is to measure the transition of marital quality during the pregnancy and infant stage of the family life cycle by the questionnaire survey. The first survey was done during the pregnancy, followed by the second (4 months after birth), the third (one year old), the fourth (2 years old) and the fifth survey (3 years old), of which result was presented at this conference last year. This year's presentation include the sixth survey which was done at the four year old.
Method of the research is to measure the marital relationships by QMI (Quality Marital Index), MLS (Marital Love Scale), and DAS (Dyadic Adjustment Scale).
The result showed the quality of the marital relationships decrease during this course, which back up the Belsky's result. Women reduce the quality more than men's perception.
Independent variables were taken into account such as working status, husband's participation, child's development, and social support, which reviled the importance of the communication between the couple, income, and men's participation during the delivery and child rearing.
