Abstract
Seaquake forces acting on a two-dimensional floating body is studied numerically. Green function which satisfies the Helmholtz equation and fulfills the free surface condition and the sea bottom boundary condition is introduced. The solution of the seismic wave field and pressure distribution are obtained by making use of boundary integral equation method and the seaquake forces are also obtained numerically. After some case studies, it becomes clear that breadth of floating body, water depth and width of seaquake center (epicenter) affect on the seaquake forces acting on a floating body.
