抄録

Focusing on the boxing fillet weld toe on local structural components, the authors have proposed a simplified method for assessing the fatigue strength using the results of a series of fatigue tests carried out employing basic boxing fillet welded test specimens. In this paper, it was shown that the fatigue strength of the designing structural components can be assessed using by its local stress distributions, on the basis of the local stress distributions and S-N curves of the basic boxing fillet welded test specimens.
