抄録

This paper contains the experimental considerations about the nuts for high strength friction grip bolts for structural steel works. It appeared necessary to examine for various nuts in height, carbon content, heat treated or not, hardeness, proof load and more tightenningness. On the basis of the tests reported herein, we found the heat treated nuts should not be tapped before that procedure and cold-forming nuts were more suitable for high strength bolts especially in tightenningness, because less torque-coefficient and more uniformity, than that of heat-treated nuts.
