Description
This paper studies an abnormal behavior, which is called the unstable phenomenon, in vibration cutting system. Our experiment shows that chatter-like unstable phenomenon occurrs in the vibration cutting system. This unstable phenomenon changes its vibration type when time is varied. In this paper, we construct a stochastic model of vibration cutting system by adding noise to the tool amplitude parameter in our previous model, and show the stochastic model can produce similar behavior to the unstable phenomenon. The model suggests the following : (1) the major cause of the unstable phenomenon is reduction of the vibration-tool amplitude, (2) the noise changes the vibration types and reduces the work's movement.
