Abstract

High resolution calculation method are needed for numerical calculations of waves of a variety of length scales such as turbulent flows and aeroacoustic noise.Lele proposed compact difference methods as a high resolution difference methods.There are many discussion for characteristic and stability of compact difference methods.Chu&Fan and Nihei&Ishii proposes combined compact difference methods that are higher resolution than compact difference methods.In this study, we make advection equation fully discrete by using combined compact difference method for the spacial differentiation and using various time marching schemes for the temporal differentiation.We analyze those stability. There are many definitions of stability, and we consider Lyapunov and asymptotically stable in this study.
