Description
In crack analysis, hexahedral mesh was generally to calculate stress intensity factors. However, it is impossible to create hexahedral meshes for complex shape models using the automatic mesh generator. On the one hand, VCCM (Virtual Crack Closure-Integral Method) is extended for tetrahedral mesh. And, VCCM is highly compatible with TSV-Pre that is high quality mesher. In this research, a crack propagation analysis of complex model is performed using VCCM and TSV-Pre. Stress intensity factors are computed by VCCM. And, crack shape grow into next shape using TSV-Pre.
