Description
The conventional fractal image compression is actually impractical for use, because it requires a huge encoding time for finding the optimal affine transforms. In this research, we propose a new fractal image compression schemes that replace the optimal affine transformations by a pseudo domain and reduce the calculation time. This method achieves the 1/30 in the encoding time, while compression rate is comparable to the conventional scheme.
