Abstract
We have recently released the arcade game " Mobile Suit GUNDAM Senjyo no Kizuna" incorporating P.O.D. (panoramic optical display), a hemi-ellipsoidal dome screen in order to provide users with the higher levels of presence. Recent arcade games, which have evolved through several stages of technical innovation, constitute a so-called virtual environment, which doing things impossible in reality. In this paper, we discuss several fundamental technologies used in the game mainly in terms of arcade system architecture.
