抄録

A model for predicting shallow water waves at a single location is developed on the basis of the radiative transfer equation in which the source function consists of five energy transfer processes of wind input, wave breaking, frictional dissipation, the effect of opposing wind and bottom friction. Directional spectrum at a single location is estimated through the iterative computation of growth, decay and propagation of each wave component along a wave ray reaching the location. The computed results of deep water waves for the test cases given in SWAMP and of shallow water waves on a sloping beach show physically sound behaviour within the framework of a DP model. The hindcasted results of shallow water waves in the Japan Sea are in reasonable agreement with the observed ones.
