Description

The object of this study is the large-scale rectangular tunnel by combining plural box-shield tunnels. This study aimed at the steel-concrete hybrid segment for the tunnel, carried out the loading test for obtaining the fundamental data of its design. This study ascertained the basic mechanical properties of hybrid segment, and examined the influence of the external conditions, e. g. initial bending stress, or internal conditions, e. g. non-filling of concrete. The obtained results were compared with calculated value based on the allowable stress design. As the results, it was certain that the calculated value was generally well fit to the experiments.
