Abstract
Abstract : We focused the operability of the pointing device in the User Interface design. And we produced the experiment system to compare the operability of each pointing device : mouse, track ball, pentablet, liquid crystal pen tablet, track pad. As a result of the investigation, we clarified some certain tendencies that the operation speed of the track ball was the lowest and no-steady, the operation speed grows in the track pad, the mouse, and the Pentablet, and the operation speed of the liquid crystal pen tablet was maximum and steady. We made clear that the liquid crystal pen tablet was the most excellent as pointing device to aime two targets, but some problems in manipulatory of digital contents.
