Abstract
Ruthenium oxide nanosheet colloid was derived from layered ruthenium oxide via intercalation/exfoliation processes. Ruthenium oxide nanosheet electrodes exhibited large pseudocapacitance at high rates, thus is a promising material for electrochemical supercapacitor devices. Furthermore, the use of ruthenium oxide nanosheets as an additive to Pt/C electrocatalyst for fuel cell applications was studied. The composite electrocatalyst exhibited enhanced catalytic activity and improved durability compared to pristine Pt/C. Thus, ruthenium oxide nanosheets are high performance materials for various energy devices.
