Abstract
Polymer blends which included polycarbosilane (PCS) and polysiloxanes (PMPhS, PMSQ) were used as a binder of alumina joining. The joining areas derived from polymer blends including polysiloxane mainly became SiO2 layer; however, those derived from polymer blends and aluminum foil were mainly occupied by Si metal and Al metal. The average tensile strength of the alumina joined by polymer only was approximately 1/8th of that of the alumina joined by polymer and aluminum foil.
