Description

昨年本大会において、ホームレスの衣類より採取されたコロモジラミに、Bartonella quintana遺伝子の存在を報告した。今回、その後に採取されたコロモジラミからB. quintana遺伝子の検出を昨年と同様のPCR法によって試みた。その結果12人中1人由来のコロモジラミから、Bartonellaのクエン酸合成酵素A遺伝子 (gltA gene) 及び16S-23S rRNA遺伝子intergenic spacer region (ITS)が検出された。また、ITS geneは、B. quintanaに対して98%の相同性を示し、コロモジラミがB. quintanaを保有していることが判明した。現在までに3名のホームレス由来コロモジラミよりB. quintanaを検出した。
