Abstract
Recently, Quadrotor type helicopters which are one of Multi-rotor type helicopters (MRT) have been extensively developed over the world. The MRTs are expected to be used for quick detection and observation of the circumstances under calamity environment. In this paper, we present the design method for airframe of the MRTs equipped with more than 4 rotors. Following the design method, the Hexa-rotor type helicopter is developed and tested. Finally, we show the flight result of the Hexa-rotor type helicopter and present the effectiveness of the design method.
