Abstract
A new coolant supply method, named “coolant flow guided flexible sheet method”, can supply the coolant exiting from the nozzle surely to the grinding point. In order to apply this method to profile grinding, in this study, conformation of this method to concave and convex wheel surfaces is examined. From the results of the experiments, the correspondence of this method to various wheel shapes is confirmed. Moreover, a new coolant flow guided flexible sheet, which better conforms to the wheel shape was developed.
