抄録
In order to fabricate ultra fine structures with different kind of shape on the metallic materials surface, a hybrid metallic micro rolling process to transfer micro patterns onto metallic materials surface is developed. Nano Plastic Forming (NPF) on pure aluminium (Al 99%) combined with coating technique is used to produce the Nickel dies for the rolling process. Experimental works with 0.1 N-1.0 N indentation load variations and 2.5 um-7.5 um pitch variations using knife edge diamond tool are conducted to study the feasibility of this technique. Based on the experimental results, the feasibility of this method to fabricate microstructures on metallic materials surface is concluded.
