Description
This speech contains positioning control of a high-power electrostatic motor in the atmosphere. The high-power electrostatic motor can perform superior dynamic performances in dielectric liquid, or in vacuum. However, when the motor is driven in the atmosphere, operation voltage is limited because of air discharge. The limited operation voltage results in lower thrust force and instable motor operation. In this paper, we built position servo feedback loop for the electrostatic motor to realize stable motor operation in the atmosphere.
