Description
This paper presents a fixed-point coordinate rotation digital computer (CORDIC) processor to provide various kinds of mathematic functions based on programmable architecture for real applications. The conventional CORDIC processor cannot meet the requirement of some applications since it only implement single CORDIC mode to provide one or two mathematic functions. The proposed CORDIC processor employs programmable parameters and combines multiple CORDIC modes to provide 13 different mathematic functions (cos, tan, arcos, cosh, log, sqrt, exp and so on) without hardware modification.
