Description
Recently, the solar energy system is expected to play an important role in saving energy of a smart home. However, most of the solar energy management research did not take the Peak-to-Average Ratio (PAR) of the power system into consideration. This research proposes a solar energy scheduling model with PAR concerned. This model also employs an improved binary particle swarm optimization (BPSO) to achieve optimal utilization of solar energy. Simulation results prove that the proposed algorithm can simultaneously reduce the PAR and the total energy cost.
