Description
PS ashes, which is produced by burning the paper sludge discharged from the manufacturing process of paper, contain calcium and magnesium which would be available for tree growth. On the other hand, harmful fluorine and chromium are leaching from PS ashes. In this experiment, authors added calcium oxide, aluminum sulfate and amino acid which has a chelate to metals in PS ashes, and made it to a grain. The control of leaching harmful materials from PS ashes and the growth of tree using PS ashes were considered. As a result, authors found that by adding cysteine and other amino acids to the grain of PS ashes controlled the leaching of fluorine and chromium. That is also suitable for neutralizing acidic soil. The grain of PS ashes with added amino acid which has many nitrogen, such as histidine, asparagine, lysine, promoted the initial growth of the eucalyptus.
