Description
In the processes of waste water treatment, much amount of iron phosphate containing sludge is discharged. In order to find out a recycling method of this sludge, alkalization processes was investigated. Aqueous sodium hydroxide solution was added to iron phosphate containing sludge. Iron phosphate in the sludge reacted with sodium hydroxide, formed sodium phosphate and iron hydroxide, and these materials were recovered by solid –liquid separation.
