Description

The rhizosphere soils of Zelkova serrata planted in highway Interchanges were srveyed cubically to know the reason why the trees go unhealthy.<BR>The result shows following tendency.<BR>1) The healthy trees have soft soils in underlayer and no overhumid injury.<BR>2) The unhealthy trees are injured with the remaining water in surface and root bowl because the poor water permeable soils are existed in underlayer.<BR>3) Many of soils are compacted though the health of tree is not so poor. From all of these results, the importance of the soil amentment to improve the physical properties are also recognized even though in the road landscaping area.
