Description
Challenges in Computational Intellience like chess and Shogi lead great developments recently. These challenges are expanded to apply consumer video games. In the international conference CIG, CEC, etc., various competitions are carried out with the video games such as First Person Shooters, Platform Games, Car Racing Games and so on. Rogue-like games, which are one of the major genre in the video games, are still left untouched, even though there have been a few academic trial on Rogue-like games. In this paper, we investigated on Rogue-like games and try to design competition benchmark. This new challenge is expected to focus on another aspect for developping computational intelligence.
