Abstract

We have many kinds of data of time series such as daily temperatures. We have proposed a method to express their global trend and local features in a natural language. In the previous research we proposed a similarity degree between fuzzy sets of global trends and local features in the natural language for retrieving similar time series. The method expanded fuzzy sets by a fuzzy relation, but the expanded fuzzy sets changed the order of the similarity degrees of original fuzzy sets. In this paper, therefore, we propose a new fuzzy relation and a normalization of fuzzy sets for preventing it. And we illustrate retrieval of similar time series with the similarity degree.
