Abstract
The quantum efficiency of the water splitting reaction over NaTaO3 photocatalysts is significantly improved when properly doped. Possible roles of the dopants have been examined to date. In the current study, NaTaO3 doped with Sr or other elements is examined with Raman spectroscopy to deduce dopant-induced transformation of composition and structure of the photocatalysts. Scanning electron microscopy and X-ray diffraction are used as supplementary instruments to confirm surface structure and distribution of dopants.
